John Cuneo appointed Patron
It is with great pleasure that the Australian Sharpie Sailing Association appoints Olympic Gold Medalist John Cuneo as Patron of the association. John is the class' most successful sailor having won three 12 square metre sharpie titles and four lightweight sharpie titles.

With the National sharpie titles being held at his home club of Royal Queensland Yacht squadron this coming Xmas new year period his appointment has extra relevance. John was the last Queenslander to win a sharpie title which was in the 1965 Adelaide series. The local Association is working hard to ensure the series is a success on and off the water and are hoping to break a 47 year drought which is the longest in sharpie history by winning the Title.
